howies order
howies is one of my favorite discoveries since arriving in the UK. Man, I love getting one of their catalogs in the mail. I just devour it cover to cover. They just came out with their latest (which is conveniently posted online for those of you not in the UK).
Anyway, my esteemed colleague Phil placed an order and shared the little confirmation email. This is usually where most brands fall down. It always seems to be an afterthought. Just when a brand lures you in to sign up for something online (a newsletter, an order, etc.), the confirmation email arrives like a wet blanket, with a generic, "thank you for your order, blah, blah, blah."
howies, by contrast, was refreshingly human:
"Just thought you'd like to know your order is heading out of Cardigan Bay as we speak. And it's heading your way. With luck and a good tailwind, it should be with you in the next day or so.
Using ParcelForce couriers (the driver's name down here is John). Hey John, drive real careful. You got an important parcel on board.
If you ever come down to Cardigan Bay, please let us know and we will put the kettle on."
I was just about to post this and noticed Dan Germain's post on howies new shop opening last week. I can't wait to see how it all holds together in store.
